[almost] forgotten summers

I just came across these pictures taken back in June of '09. They brought back a bunch of memories from that summer and others. Tage, Alexis, and their mom Michelle, were some of the first friends we made when we moved to this area. Tage and AP were in the same class and Alexis was the same age as AJ so it was a perfect fit. We spent the entire summer of '07 with them. J was gone that whole summer and Michelle was single at the time so we did just about everything together. The kids would play while Michelle and I would workout (and often the kids would join us in lunges and sprints or ride their bikes around the track with us while we did laps). We spent hours at the park and Classic skate(where we had gotten summer passes), did sleepovers, and played, and played, and played. . . it was a great summer. Our schedules didn't mesh as well the following summer since Michelle had gone back to school and D had just been born, but we still got together as often as we could manage. Then we left for Australia and it was a while before we saw them. Once back we had them over as soon as we could. They brought their friend Jade and came over for some sand and water fun. It ended up being kind of a cold day so they didn't get in the water much, but had a great time making sand castles.


Michelle has since married and moved, and we haven't gotten together for a long time, but we keep in touch and hope to see them this summer!
