Dinner with Napoleon...

Dynamite that is! That's right, it's time for the spill on our annual theme dinner.  As I have mentioned in previous posts this is my favorite church activity of the year and this one was pretty much the best table we've ever done.  My friend Kellie had the sweet idea to do a Napoleon Dynamite theme so we co-hosted and it was awesome.  Kellie and Jaren came as Napoleon and Deb, Jeff was Uncle Rico, and I was Summer Wheatley.  We spent all week cracking Napoleon lines and I did a lot of giggling as I worked on decorations throughout the week.

We put up a photo backdrop like the one in the movie, got some mannequin heads from some of my beautician friends, and brought some wigs and other costume items so that if people wanted glamour shots done we could hook them up. Deb had her special running: 75% off!
I thought it was funny that both of these guys chose the same scarf (there were actually 5 different ones there to choose from), and the girls chose the same hat.  Hee, hee.

 Here is the freakin' food.
I got the quote idea from here: http://lifedesigncraft.blogspot.com/2012/08/napoleon-dynamite-partybbq.html

Kellie borrowed lunch trays from the Elementary School.  She also bought some of the little cartons of milk. She picked up 1% even though we could have been drinking whole...

 And let's not forget Tina!

We also had to include some Rex Kwon Do...

I thought about going as Rex and having Jeff dress up as Starla (I don't have the bulging biceps to pull her off), but we just couldn't get the costumes right.  Maybe next time, because we are planning on doing this again.  Although next time it will be a house party where we can do whatever we want.  Gosh!  Like sit and watch the whole movie and include some steak throwing, liger drawing, pin the tail on Tina, and a dance off...
