We decided to drive to north to Darwin to spend some time over the kids' winter break (it's still nice and warm there). Thanks to a friend we were able to get a great deal on an apartment (which happened to be right across the street from the beach!) in the suburb of Nightcliff. Of course we had to watch for crocodiles so we didn't spend very much time actually in the water and most of the beach was cliffs, but we did find a good stretch of sand to play in and had fun exploring the cliffs. We only spent one day at the beach as a family (and Jeff took the little ones down a couple of other times), but it was my favorite part of the trip!
