It's so weird to have the school year end in December... but it did and I'm really proud of the way that each of my kids adjusted to a new country, new school, new friends, and for Derek and Aubrey jumping ahead almost a whole grade. We got here mid-school year so Derek had to jump not only into the middle of Year 1, but he entered a level 1/2 class, so he ended up with kids that were almost 2 years older than he is. Even so he was one of the top readers in his class. These are pictures from his end of year performance. His class dressed as minions (Despicable Me) and sang and danced to the song "Happy."
Wow, so what is a the calendar year for school there? Is it like this to coincide with seasons? Your kids are making great memories and having great new experiences.
