Ft. McHenry

I was really excited to visit Ft. McHenry and see the birth place of our national anthem.  The video presentation was really good with an unexpected and very moving ending.  We went last Monday afternoon for Family Home Evening but right before we left AJ was complaining about not feeling well and ended up falling asleep on the drive there.  She had gotten pretty chewed up by mosquitos over the weekend and felt a little feverish so we decided to just let her sleep and took turns checking on her while we quickly looked around the fort.

It was early evening and the weather was pretty nice considering what it has been.

The boys leaving the "powder room" ha, haaa

AJ felt pretty left out after waking up to find we had gone on the tour without her.  So I took the kids back on Thursday (you only have to pay for ages 16 and up and tickets are good for a week after purchase).

The second time around we were there in the middle of the day.  It was quite hot so the kids didn't want to hang around for very long, but it was a good little excursion, and I was glad AJ had a chance to see the presentation and look around the fort too.

  1. I know I saw AP just a few weeks ago, but man he looks even more grown up in pictures. Tall and handsome, he is on his way catching up to his Dad.
