Father and Son campout

The Friday before Father's day J took the boys to the Father's and Son's campout.  They didn't stay the night, just until the sun was going down, but had a lot of fun.  AP's favorite part was the zipline.  D's favorite part?  The dirt.

D was pretty content just with the dirt, until he found a spigot. Then he tried to make himself some mud so J took him out for some hiking.

And he decided the foliage was a good enough substitute

J said there were no good hiking trails, so they had to break their own.  D didn't mind too much...

AP wasn't too thrilled at first about going out in the wilderness where there would be no electronic access, but had a great time.  D is happy anywhere he can go exploring or get dirty.  Thanks to Daddy for sacrificing part of his weekend to get the boys some good, dirty, outside time!
