Isn't it amazing how much work a vacation can create? ;) Here are pictures of the laundry I am trying to catch up on today after our trip to Disneyland.
While it's washing we're trying to get ourselves cleaned up and organized. We had a great time despite D having a skin reaction to the sunscreen the first day. He broke out in an itchy rash everywhere it had been applied and stayed dried out and scaly the next two days, but true to his nature he never complained about it once. We also came home a day early to get J to the clinic where he is currently. Turns out he has severe pneumonia. He has been given an oxygen tank and is headed to the hospital for more blood testing. He started having symptoms the day before we left (fever and chills), but we hoped it was just a quick 24 hour bug. Nope. He just got worse and our first day in the park was having a hard time breathing. He spent the whole second day of our trip at the hotel room in bed while I took the kids to California Adventure. That afternoon AJ started complaining about her whole body aching and her head hurting. That night she started coughing. Her turn at the doctor is coming up this afternoon. Despite it all we did have a good time! Besides all of the fun rides and character visits, we celebrated D's 4th birthday party with Mickey. As soon as the pictures finish downloading I will start posting them (in between loads of laundry and visits to the doctor that is).
And here I was thinking that 2 cases of pneumonia was enough for one family, but I am a little worried that AJ might increase the number to 3. And then for D to suffer from what sounds like an awful rash. I think Mom might need her own personal vacation to recover from nursing everyone else back to health. Love to you all.
ReplyDeletePneumonia doesn't sound like fun! But - I'm glad Disneyland was :) welcome back!!
