Easter at our house

On Monday our FHE lesson was about the comparison between the commercial aspects of Easter vs. it's true purpose and meaning. We decided to do all of the commercial stuff on Saturday and set Sunday aside to think about the Savior's atonement and resurrection. So Saturday morning we did Easter baskets and home egg hunt (we didn't want to brave the weather to go outdoors). We spent time together as a family and did things mostly around the house.
On Sunday, Amber and Marcus came over for dinner (how cute are they?).
After we ate we had a little lesson with resurrection eggs (instructions found here.) I've got to say that I really liked having all of the baskets, candy, and decorations put away Saturday night. I'm not sure the kids would agree, but for me it was nice to wake up Sunday morning and just be able to focus on the Savior without all of the extra stuff around as a distraction.
