Australia day was Monday (January 26) so we packed a picnic lunch, met up with some friends, and headed over to Commonwealth Park for the big celebration.
It was a very HOT day and D didn't last long so J ended up taking him back to the apartment for a nap.

We love Mr. men and were very excited to see them LIVE!
AP was thrilled when he got picked from the audience to assist with the magic show.
There were also bounce houses, balloon animals, facepainting, and backyard cricket. The 10 and 12 year old boys we were there with were only interested in cricket, so much to my delight AP actually got involved (though briefly) in the game (he was even interested enough that he didn't react when he got hit by the ball). Later that night we watched the fireworks from our balcony.
I think it is fun you got to see the Mr.'s I love those story books, but they don't seem to get as noticed here. The kids look so big they are growing fast! I love that little D is into toilet paper. That reminds me of the "I love you" books. SO sweet!
